Director, Coordinated Masters Program

The Public Health Nutrition program is hiring a 1.0 FTE Education Program Specialist 2 to direct the Coordinated Masters Program (MPH-RD) in Public Health Nutrition at the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health. This is a 12-month position eligible for full benefits. Description: The Coordinated Masters Program (CMP) is one of two Public Health Nutrition MPH tracks within the School of Public Health’s Division of Epidemiology and Community Health. The program typically admits 11 students a year, with the program lasting 2 years. Supervised practice experiences take place throughout the 2-year program. The program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). The CMP Director reports directly to the Director of Public Health Nutrition. Primary responsibilities of the CMP director include administering the CMP program, online teaching of experiential courses during the summer, training of students in dietetic skills during fall and spring semesters, recruiting and maintaining supervised practice sites, and evaluating all aspects of the program on a yearly basis. Responsibilities include: Review and grade student assignments utilizing pre-existing rubrics. Assist with student simulations by providing individualized feedback. Develop student education modules to meet accreditation competencies. Track student completion of supervised practice rotations and assure required documentation has been submitted. Develop and administer surveys to CMP stakeholders, including preceptors, employers, present and past students. Monitor affiliation agreement database and assure university and student compliance with stipulations. Respond to prospective student questions, track volume and frequently-asked questions. Monitor CMP information on the website and propose modifications based on prospective student inquiries. Monitor admissions procedure including tracking of prospective student applications. Participate in interview process of applicants. Assist in orientation of incoming students. Time Allocation: Program Management (55%)
