Allegheny College, a small selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean for Institutional Diversity. The position is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Dean for Institutional Diversity in the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (ODEI). ODEI's primary mission is advancing inclusive excellence at Allegheny College by shaping, implementing, and supporting policies, strategies, and initiatives in support of the College’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Position Summary Reporting to and working closely with the senior diversity officer of the College (Dean for Institutional Diversity), the Assistant Dean for Institutional Diversity (ADID) supports the development, implementation, and assessment of campus-wide professional development and training initiatives to promote inclusive excellence and intercultural competence. The ADID supports the identification, design, and implementation of resources, training modules, workshops, presentations, programs, and services that will cultivate and sustain diverse, equitable, and inclusive environments for learning, working, and living across the College. The ADID will join a dynamic team of colleagues in the ODEI which includes the IDEAS (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, & Social Justice) Center and the Office of Spiritual and Religious Life and is led by the Dean for Institutional Diversity.
