Overview Improvement Advisors will be primarily responsible for: - Building, continuously improving, and driving adoption of our Operating System (how we develop our people, manage our work and drive improvement at MHealth Fairview and lay a foundation for operational excellence and execution of our system strategies)
- Partnering with operational leaders and their teams to drive breakthrough value stream improvement as dictated by our system strategies
- Effective coaching and stewardship of the Operating System and various Improvement Methodologies that we employ (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
Responsibilities/Job Description - Manages multiple responsibilities, simultaneously, internal and external to the office to achieve improved outcomes through effective assessment, planning, coordination, facilitation, implementation and overall project management.
- Practitioner of, and coach to operational leaders on, Lean (and/or Six Sigma as applicable) principles, systems and tools, effective use of visual management, project management, team facilitation, education/training and data analytics.
- Actively seeks to connect improvement work across the system and initiate spread where applicable while communicating performance improvement activities to leaders, team members, and staff as appropriate.
- Works to ensure that the Operating System methods are actively used by operational teams and are consistent with other areas of the business/system.
- Anticipates and identifies barriers to change and develops countermeasures in conjunction with leadership to overcome the barriers
- Actively develops collaborative relationships with all internal groups, external agencies and other stakeholders that are required to achieve organizational targets.
- Works with and advises operational leaders and shared business services to collect/extract relevant data to perform analysis to identify root causes.
- Advises leaders and teams on establishing performance standards and identifying goals while ensuring that partnerships exist with other areas of the business to develop, implement, or refine workflows or data collection and management methods to ensure accurate measurement and tracking of process and performance improvement results.

- Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards. (e.g. CMS, DHS, The Joint Commission, OSHA)
Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities: - Demonstrated relational qualities (active listening, clear/concise communication, humble inquiry, effective relationship building, understanding of customer requirements/meeting them where they are at)
- Experience with development and/or deployment of a lean management system
- Experience leading and partnering with operational leaders on improvement work, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Experience facilitating multi-disciplinary groups through successful improvement initiatives and change
- Advanced in analytical skills including collection, analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data and the creation of sustainable measurement systems
- Advanced skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Sharepoint, OneNote)
Qualifications Requirements: - Bachelors degree in business, healthcare, engineering, performance improvement or other related area
- 3-5 years experience leading Lean deployment & improvement work, preferably in a healthcare setting including people and project leadership
Preferred: - Masters in healthcare related field
- Lean Certification
Other Required Skills: - Demonstrated experience in successfully leading multi-disciplinary teams through change.
- Proficient in analytical skills including collection, analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data and the creation of sustainable measurement systems
- Advanced skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Sharepoint, OneNote)
