Cape Henry Collegiate
Beginning with the 2021-2022 academic year, Cape Henry Collegiate is seeking applications for a full time Visual Arts Teacher to serve in the Middle and Upper Schools. At Cape Henry, all students are required to participate in Fine or Performing Arts. We offer a diverse program in all grade levels. The current opportunity is for a teacher who is experienced and comfortable teaching Art Foundations, a survey course that serves as a prerequisite for all Upper School Visual Arts classes, as well as some Middle School studio art sections. Competitive candidates will have experience teaching studio classes in multiple mediums to students in Middle or Upper School classrooms. Candidates with specific skill sets should indicate such in their applications. Candidates with a range of abilities will be particularly attractive as the Art curriculum is dynamic and electives can be created to allow faculty to share their talents with students. Ability to teach the Art Foundations course which addresses numerous mediums is essential for competitive candidates.
