• Demonstrates a deep commitment to the Assets School mission, vision and values in all situations
• Balances the need to honor the principles and traditions that make Assets special with the need to innovate so the school remains an expert in multiple facets of education
• Fosters a healthy school community and culture of kindness, belonging and equity
• Recruits, retains, supports and mentors exceptional faculty and staff
• In collaboration with the Curriculum Coaches, continues to develop and sustain a high quality academic program for students who are gifted and/or have language-based learning differences
• Leads ongoing curriculum review and development
• Collaborates with high school administration to ensure alignment of educational programs and healthy student transitions
• Participates on the K-12 leadership team
• Collaborates with counselors and faculty to promote student social-emotional health
• Manages the K-8 budget
• Leads the K-8 Summer School and Academies program
• Stays current with educational research and best practices, especially those related to giftedness, language-based learning differences and twice-exceptional learners.
• Collaborates with the Admissions, Business, and Advancement offices to achieve institutional goals
• Demonstrates exceptional judgment in all situations
