Assets is a K-12 coeducational, independent school that serves gifted and capable students,specializing in those with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. Assets provide a strength-based program, complemented by outreach and training, that empowers students to become effective learners and confident self-advocates.
The K-8 Principal reports directly to the Head of School, and leads approximately 40 faculty and staff and 200 students. This position starts July 1, 2021.

In collaboration with the Curriculum Coaches, continues to develop and sustain a high quality academic program for students who are gifted and/or have language-based learning differences
Leads ongoing curriculum review and development
Collaborates with high school administration to ensure alignment of educational programs and healthy student transitions
Participates on the K-12 leadership team
Collaborates with counselors and faculty to promote student social-emotional health
Manages the K-8 budget
Leads the K-8 Summer School and Academies program
Stays current with educational research and best practices, especially those related to giftedness, language-based learning differences and twice-exceptional learners.
Collaborates with the Admissions, Business, and Advancement offices to achieve institutional goals
