Our 5WA (INPATIENT PSYCH), 5WB (INPATIENT PSYCH), and 5MB (PSYCH ICU) units have an outstanding opportunity for multiple part-time, temporary/hourly, MENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST 1. Under the supervision of a RN, the Mental Health Specialist utilizes a variety of clinical/psycho-therapeutic skills to contribute to bio-psycho-social patient assessment, and to collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team members in planning, implementing and documenting care from admission to discharge for psychiatric patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Additionally, the MHS participates in unit and departmental activities to promote delivery of quality patient care, effective problem solving and communication, and continued clinical development. RESPONSIBILITIES: REQUIREMENTS: Associate of Arts Degree; AND two years of experience in a mental health setting. Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. LEGAL REQUIREMENT: Active Affiliated Agency Counselor Registration with the State of Washington and active Nursing Assistant Registration (NAR) in the state of Washington prior to the start of employment.
