Upper School English Teacher

The Kinkaid School is seeking a dynamic, innovative English Teacher to join its Upper School team starting August 2021. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of literature by diverse voices, a passion for collaboration with colleagues, and proven success in connecting the content to students’ innate inquisitiveness and critical thinking skills. Reporting to the Head of Upper School, the Upper School English Teacher will be called on to promote high levels of learning in an engaging and effective manner using a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources. 

The Kinkaid School is a co-educational non-sectarian day school enrolling over 1,400 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Located on a sixty-five-acre campus in the heart of Houston, Texas, the School offers a thriving intellectual community in the midst of a vibrant, urban, diverse culture. With an enrollment of about 615, the Upper School fosters a learning environment centered on academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, and personal attention.
