The role of Sr. Director, Engagement will contribute, to the Talent Management team focus of developing core methodologies and frameworks that instill the right culture at McKesson. This position may be in Irving, TX or Alpharetta, GA. Global ownership of Employee Engagement, Performance Management, and onboarding, managing 3 direct reports.
This role leads a team in the development and implementation of solutions from a strategic, inclusive and process-oriented perspective aligned to the McKesson Experience, Performance Management, Employee Engagement and Onboarding. Key responsibilities include:
Lead strategic development of content, frameworks, processes, systems, training and tools that support Engagement, Performance Management, Onboarding and other team priorities as assigned.
Specifically analyze existing tools, vendors, processes and historical data and create an overall strategy for Performance Management at McKesson.
Create communication strategies and plans for both executives and the full organization to ensure education and adoption of our performance management processes, EOS and the Manager Quality Survey.
Create simple dashboards showing historical comparisons of EOS, Performance Mgmt. and the Manager Quality Survey to engage Executive Leadership; Partner with the Talent Partners, HRBPs and Leadership Development to create strategies to help close organizational gaps.
Create socialization, implementation, change and sustainment plans of specific programs and strategies based on the analysis of business goals, objectives, needs and general business environment.
Acts as thought leader and advisor to the HR department and executive team on performance management, engagement and onboarding.
Leverages subject matter expertise and judgment to select the appropriate methods and techniques to achieve each program's goal while providing proactive solutions to any issues.
Uses metrics and dashboards to monitor KPIs and reports insights to key stakeholders.
Provides first line of defense consultation, thought partnership and subject matter expertise to above mentioned key stakeholders as it relates to Engagement, Performance Management and Onboarding.
Owns execution and thought leadership for performance management to include strategically leading the organization in this process; focusing on priority/goal setting and the creation of a culture of feedback and conversations to enable growth for our people and effective performance differentiation.
Leads the execution and thought leadership for the employee opinion survey to include: vendor selection/management/SOW, budget management, internal partnership with WP&A, survey optimization, stakeholder management, training and resource creation, engagement site administration, executive briefing approach, enterprise action planning guidance and COE on scorecard alignment/goal setting.
Leads the evolution of non-executive onboarding; including designing program components, content curation, best practice research and technology utilization.
Key skills and abilities include relationship building, collaboration, data analysis and synthesis of information, consultation, influencing, communication, process and program design/development, stakeholder management, change management and results orientation. Key stakeholders include employees across all work environments, executives, people leaders, HRBPs, TMD leaders, and other members of the HR community (Workforce Planning & Analytics, HR Support Center, Employee Relations). Additionally, external vendor management is critical to the success of our engagement survey/future strategy.
12 - 15+ years of human resources, Talent Management or OD experience
PhD Degree (preferred) or master's degree in Industrial and organizational psychology and experience in industry required
Master's Degree in Industrial and organizational psychology and experience in industry required
Strong manager/ team leadership, managing direct reports
Experience and expertise in multiple talent management disciplines such as: employee engagement, performance management, onboarding, leadership development and talent pipelining
