Position Summary:

Regions Hospital’s Medical Laboratory is currently seeking a professional Genetic Counselor to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be a self-directed, patient-focused team player with perinatal genetic counseling experience. The position is primarily located at the HealthPartners St. Paul Clinic (Wabasha Street) location but may require travel to other sites in the HealthPartners system. Maternal-Fetal Medicine is a new and growing program offered at HealthPartners, so this person has the opportunity to establish genetic counselling services for a team of three perinatology providers.  As a member of our maternal-fetal medicine specialists, you will support and care for the most complex pregnancies.

As a member of the team, you will:

• Support the mission, vision, and values of the HealthPartners system of care and comply with relevant policies and procedures of the organization
• Provide clinical services and expertise related to Maternal-Fetal Medicine
• Support the team by providing information, guidance, and technical support related to genetics/genetic testing
• Support prenatal screening and testing, prior authorization for testing, coordinating test orders and tracking specimens, interpreting and disclosing test results
• Serve as an educator and resource for healthcare professionals as well as the general public
