Undergraduate Program Coordinator

This position will be responsible for developing and leading a quality, dynamic and successful undergraduate recruiting, advising and retention program for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). Serving as the department’s lead recruiter for undergraduate programs, this position will develop and oversee strategic programs and events to recruit and retain a diverse and inclusive student body. The incumbent will also serve as the department’s primary academic advisor for all first-year and transfer students. A strong focus is on advising students in the entry year of their ECE undergraduate program, getting them acquainted and connected to the program and the department, and creating academic plans and programming that will result in graduation. This position is of critical importance due to high attrition rates in engineering undergraduate programs. Acting in a leadership role on behalf of the department for the summer orientation program is an essential duty for the person in this position. The successful Undergraduate Program Coordinator will possess a high degree of interpersonal skills, as well as the drive to build quality relationships and touch points to ensure program accomplishments.
