Earned doctorate or terminal degree in any discipline within the College of Arts and Media (CAM). A record of high-quality performance as an educator, evidence of scholarly achievement, and ability and experience in administration at the unit, college, or university level. Must demonstrate human relations and managerial skills and an understanding of disciplines that comprise the College.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
The Associate Dean is a critical member of the college's administrative leadership team and participates in university-wide initiatives. The Associate Dean is expected to assist the Dean of the College in dealing with the needs of faculty, staff, and students of the College of Arts and Media (CAM), and providing oversight and evaluation for college-wide initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: general administration, curriculum and instruction, accreditation efforts, evaluationand assessment, faculty and student matters, internal and external communication, research activity, and campus wide activities. Committed to the College of Arts and Media (CAM) Equity, Diversity and Inclusion statement and action plan. Works to develop community partnerships and inter-university collaborations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
