The Léman Manhattan Preparatory School, an independent International school located in Manhattan’s Financial District, seeks a highly qualified, motivated Visual Arts educator to teach high school art classes. This is a full-time position that will begin in late August 2021.
Teaching a variety of high school Visual Art classes with a focus on Digital Arts including Digital Photography, Mixed Media and Digital Design classes.
Serving as an advisor in our high school advisory program
Producing an annual High School Art exhibition in collaboration with other Visual Arts teachers
Organizing and coordinating student submissions for art shows and competitions
Being a collaborative, contributing team member of the Fine Arts Department as well as the Upper School faculty
Supporting and sponsoring activities/events outside the typical workday
Growing professionally in order to meet the changing responsibilities of the position
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
Experience in teaching High School students
Experience in teaching introductory to advanced level Digital Arts courses
Familiarity with curriculum design
Ability to work well as part of a team
