Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the CSW2 or CSW3 level.Less than two (3) years experience qualifies as CSW level; Three (3) years + LCSW experience qualifies as CSW3.
Under supervision, Clinical Social Worker II/III performs the full range of social work duties. Provides operational level of social work services consisting of discharge planning, continuing care services and clinical social work services, including crisis intervention, mandated reporting, information and referral coordination of health and mental health services with community providers. The social worker is responsible for education and advocacy of patients, families and/or significant others. Participates in related department functions, such as community and program education. May perform other related duties as assigned.
Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work and possession of the requirements necessary for application for licensure as a clinical social worker as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
A minimum of two (2) years post MSW experience.
Possess the knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) -issued by the state of California
Experience working with chronic progressive disease processes.
Two (2) years of experience in an ambulatory and or community setting.
Experience running community support groups.
Experience working with Multiple Sclerosis and/or other progressive neurological disease.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
