This opening is a full-time, 12-month, live-in professional position. MICAâs residential program consists of approximately 1,000 beds distributed across multiple buildings and configured in apartment-style communities. This position requires an interest in and commitment to working with full-time Residence Life professionals, paraprofessional staff, and student residents in a collaborative effort to promote student growth, personal development, and academic success. Residential Coordinators report to the Assistant Director of Residential Communities. The Residential Coordinator encourages the residential co-curricular education of students by supervising regularly scheduled structured programs and activities designed to enhance the residential experience. This position is responsible for identifying and responding to the needs of individual students in cooperation with Student Affairs staff and faculty Institutional Description: MICA enrolls approximately 1800 undergraduate students and 300 graduate students from 48 states and 54 foreign countries. MICA is a leader in the education of artists and designers that fosters a community of talented, creative individuals committed to redefining the boundaries of art and design and to expanding their own vision and perspective through rigorous study. MICA is also recognized as an important cultural resource for the Baltimore/Washington region, sponsoring many public and community-outreach programs, including more than 100 exhibitions by students, faculty, and nationally and internationally known artists annually.
