Job Title: Director of Student Wellness (Student Counseling Director) Job ID: 22249 Location: Kingsborough Community College Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular POSITION DETAILS The Director of Student Wellness (Student Counseling Director) will provide visionary, strategic and operational leadership to an umbrella of student wellness areas including the Counseling Center, Health Center Wellness Center, and Women's Center. This role will be a key thought partner in planning, developing, maintaining, and evaluating the holistic mental health and wellbeing of our students. The Director is responsible for departmental compliance with applicable state and federal laws and mandates and creates relevant departmental policies and procedures. Relative to operations, the Director is responsible for the development and oversight of the departmental budget, recruitment and staffing, and creation of departmental reports, analysis and other initiatives. Reporting to the Dean of Student Affairs, this position will interface with senior staff and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to, students, faculty, staff, community-based agencies, CUNY constituents, etc. Supervision will include full-time and part-time counselors and support staff.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience required. PhD or PsyD In counseling or clinical psych or related mental health fields strongly preferred. Previous leadership and supervision experience preferred. CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Directs a college counseling center, integrating counseling services into a comprehensive student development experience.
