Director of Summer Kids Program (Part Time Seasonal Position) - Mount Wachusett Community College

General Statement of Duties

Serves as Director of all summer youth programming for the Division of Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development (LLL&WFD).  Responsible for oversight of activities and instructors and other personnel associated with non-credit summer adventure offerings. Manages communication with parents, counselors, instructors, and other offices at MWCC, as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee summer program offerings for children;
• Assist with recruitment, supervision and timely evaluation of associated instructors/counselors;
• Budget:  provide backup support for the regular monitoring of the budget associated with the programming;
• Provide backup support to instructors as necessary;
• Address behavior and other issues with program participants, and provide appropriate communication to parents, guardians, and appropriate college staff;
• Carry out other assignments and responsibilities as requested by the Vice President of the Division of Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree;
• Proven skills in curriculum/program development, student & faculty relations, community outreach, and budget management;
• Ability to work in a team environment;
• Excellent interpersonal, writing, speaking and organizational skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in program management;
• Two -Five years' experience in an education environment.

Salary:  $20.00-$25.00 per hour
