Math Fellow
Emma Willard School
Our Teaching Fellows contribute to life at our school and earn a Master of Arts in Teaching degree at the Capital Region campus of Clarkson Graduate School. The fellows participate in professional development opportunities throughout their time at Emma Willard School. This two-year position involves teaching under the guidance of an experienced teaching mentor. The fellow will also coach at least one season of a sport and will have residential life responsibilities. Compensation includes full payment for graduate school tuition, room and board during the school year, and a stipend. For the 2021-2022 and 2022-23 school years, we seek a Math Fellow who will teach two sections of a mathematics course and will be responsible for collaborating regularly with mathematics teachers of all levels. Emma Willard’s Math curriculum strives to engage students consistently in developing a strong skills foundation and problem solving, using technology to enhance student learning. The math fellow will contribute to the continuous effort to review, refresh and expand the math curriculum. Dedication to the holistic wellness of students is essential, as is ability and comfort in frequent communication with students’ advisors and parents. We seek someone who is committed to and willing to navigate today’s changing and diverse landscape. This individual will help the school promote and nurture diversity, equity, and inclusion.
