DESCRIPTION

The Stem Cell Processing Laboratory (SCPL) Clinical Laboratory Scientist Specialist (CLS) is responsible forprocessing and cryopreservation of cellular therapy products (CTPs), and associated assays and tasks as described in theJob Standards. These are highly complex, non-repetitive procedures required to ensure the daily operation of the SCPLand to maintain licensing and accreditation. Participation in the quality plan and clinical trial processing is required.Other duties assigned as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).

• Two (2) years of applicableclinical laboratory experience.

• Must possess strong math skills.

• Must have manual dexterity.

• Demonstrated ability in teaching, criticalthinking and problem solving.

• Excellent communicationskills, including the ability to communicateclearly verbally and in writing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree.
• Degree in Medical Technology from aNAACLS accredited MT program.
• Recent consecutive experience in aStem Cell Processing, Blood Bank orHematology Laboratory or equivalent.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• Must be able to work all shifts, week-ends, holidays, overtime and at various locations as necessary in accordance with operational needs.
