7th grade English faculty

Dawson, a K-12 independent school of 529 students located east of Boulder on a beautiful 107-acre campus, seeks an exceptional English teacher for seventh grade starting August 1, 2021. Previous classroom experience is required, and a graduate degree is preferred. Professional Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in English or a related field is required
• 3+ years of teaching experience required
• Demonstrated classroom management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Personal warmth and friendliness
• An attitude that exemplifies teamwork and personal responsibility
• Ability to include technology elements into all aspects of instruction
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters

Duties

• Report to Director of Middle School
• Actively participate in the extracurricular life of the School as a coach and/or club supervisor
• Serve as Advisor
• Participate in class trips, clubs, and Winterim expeditions
• Additional duties as deemed necessary by the School

The salary range for this position is $45,000 – 70,000. Compensation is commensurate with experience and relevant skills. Benefits include Medical, Dental, 401k, and generous time-off.
