Upper School English and History Faculty

Ranney School seeks an English and History teacher for its Upper School. All faculty teach five sections within their discipline, serve as advisors, and support students through mentoring or coaching athletic and co-curricular activities. 

Candidates will ideally have an advanced degree and experience in independent schools. 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Five sections of Upper School English and social studies
• Mentoring a club/activity or coaching athletics
• All faculty serve as advisors to small groups of students 
• In addition to a full-time schedule, faculty mentor students in co-curricular activities (coaching athletics, if possible), participate in division and department meetings, and serve on school-wide committees and in various supervisory roles. Developing strong relationships with students and colleagues is critical for one’s success at Ranney and for the school’s successful accomplishment of its mission.
