At HUB International the Program Management and Strategic Administration leader is a highly influential individual contributor on the Personal Lines Transactional (PLT) extended leadership team. This role is at the forefront of transforming HUB PLT into the preferred broker of direct protection seekers that differentiates through digital, effortless, and proactive service. Key responsibilities include managing strategic initiatives that are centered on digital transformation and developing/managing executive communications.
Primary responsibilities and activities
Partner with executive management to lead cross-functional teams, as well as develop and execute PLT strategic initiatives. This includes agile project planning and framing scope, deliverables, resources, processes, work plans, budget, communication, ROI, and deadlines.
Curate strong partnerships with internal business groups and vendors to effectively and efficiently drive strategic outcomes within identified timelines and budgets.
Create highly influential relationships that inspire action through active listening, emotional intelligence, thought leadership and respect.
Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce OKR-based reporting for management and stakeholders.
Manage multiple simultaneous and interconnected projects or project owners with complex deliverables in support of executing on PLT strategic initiatives.
Lead project governance and the change control processes to ensure that project budget, schedule, and scope are maintained within the approved project baselines
Facilitate and drive functional project meetings and centralized project locations in a methodical manner to maximize participation and advance project efforts. Establish PLT program management best practices and playbooks.
Build deep PLT knowledge and expertise – culture, talent, processes, technologies – to be a trusted advisor for change, risk and resource management.
Establish and maintain relationships with senior leadership, key internal stakeholders, and PLT vendors. Build strong networks to maintain a pulse on the organization and amplify internal messaging.
Own and manage the development of executive communication materials, stakeholder communication, and meeting materials as needed.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration or a related field
Ten or more years of experience in business, financial services/insurance sector preferred, with a trend of growing responsibility over tenure
Minimum five years of program or project management experience
Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and relationship building
Knowledge and skills
Strong business and customer experience acumen, including industry knowledge of the insurance sector, related operational model, and trends.
Program management skills and experience, plus significant knowledge of project planning tools with evidence of practical application (which is highly desirable).
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the PLT vision and inspire and motivate teams.
High emotional intelligence, as well as effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role.
Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
Excellent knowledge of project management, program evaluation, OKR framework, and change management principles.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic resource plan.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders and business concepts to IT staff.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project, MS Teams, Visio, etc.) is a strong advantage.

Awareness of industry technology trends, overarching integration approaches, and IT partnerships
Know how decisions impact bottom-line financial results and have a good grasp of basic financial reports and metrics in order to monitor program performance
Serve as strategic advisor and counsel to leader
Assume day-to-day responsibility for select executive projects and tasks to include presentations
Manage internal communications: create PLT materials such as reports, decks, speeches or presentations for the cabinet
Demonstrate good oral, listening and writing skills
Adapt communications to audience requirements
Work from home or in the office at HUB’s US headquarters in Chicago, IL. If WFH, expectation is travel to office as needed to facilitate role responsibilities.
