Pool Director
Browne Summer Camp is hiring an experienced Pool Director. Please review the job details, qualifications, and responsibilities below. 

Details

• Dates: June 14-August 13
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Pay: $18/hour

Qualifications 

• 21 years of age or older
• Experience teaching swim lessons
• Experience working with children
• Supervisory experience
• Knowledge of Red Cross Learn to Swim or comparable program
• Required certifications: Lifeguard, CPR/First Aid/AED for professional rescuer, CPO(Virginia Certified Pool Operator)

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 4-5 lifeguards (conduct trainings, evaluations, and support)
• Adhere to safety and health guidelines associated with pool operation
• Create and manage schedules/curriculum of swim instruction/supervision for camper groups ages 3-14
• Support the mission and administration of Browne Academy and Summer Camp as well as camp administration
• Additional duties as required by administration

Lifeguards

Browne Summer Camp is hiring lifeguards for summer 2021. Please review the job details, qualifications, and responsibilities below. 

Details

• Dates: June 14-August 13
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Pay: $9.50-15/hour

Qualifications

• Required certifications: Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid 
• Experience working with children, and teaching swim lessons

Responsibilities

• Supervise campers (ages 3-14) during swim time
• Teach group and private swim lessons
• Maintain health, safety, and professional standards at the pool under the guidance of Pool Director and camp administration
• Additional duties as required by administration

Camp Counselor (Lead and Assistant Positions)

Browne Summer Camp is hiring lead and assistant counselors for summer 2021. Please review the job details, qualifications, and responsibilities below. 

Details

• Dates: June 14-August 13
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Pay
• Lead: $15-17/hour
• Assistant: $9.50-13/hour

Qualifications

• Lead Counselor
• Be at least 18 years of age
• High School Graduate
• 3+ years experience working with children in a camp or academic setting
• Assistant Counselor
• Be at least 16 years of age
• Previous experience working/volunteering with children in a camp or academic setting

Responsibilities

• Lead Counselor
• Ensure safety of campers under your care
• Create a caring environment that celebrates each camper
• Plan, lead, and implement camp activities for assigned camper group
• Activities include Art, Music & Movement, Sports & Games, Science & Nature
• Assistant Counselor
• Assist with the daily schedule
• Provide a caring and safe camper environment
