English as a Second Language Instructor

Missouri Military Academy is seeking a full-time English as a Second Language Instructor (ESL)  for the fall of the 2021-2022 school year. 

The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher with ESL teaching experience in multiple subject areas. Applicants must have a sound understanding of best practices in teaching ESL in 7^th-12^th grades. Candidates with a graduate degree and who are bilingual in Spanish or Chinese are preferred. TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification preferred, will be required to obtain.  Persons with expertise in multiple academic areas and/or coaching experience are highly desirable. A commitment to the academic and social/emotional growth of students is essential.

Faculty members serve in a wide capacity across the campus including: club sponsorship, participating in student life activities, and as academic advisors. Being able to work collaboratively with fellow faculty members and residential staff is critical for this position. Candidates should be realistic and excited about the challenges and rewards of teaching and working in a boarding school environment.
