This critical role will report directly to the CHRO and closely partner with the CEO, becoming a trusted advisor and leader who helps envision the future, then executes plans accordingly. By partnering with Ingevity Executive Team they will create and embed diversity and inclusion strategies within lines of business globally, transforming I&D to a business-led priority. This individual will represent Ingevity’s I&D work with the Board of Directors, Ingevity leaders and communities in which we do business. How you will impact Ingevity: -
Drive I&D goal attainment through program management and defined project plans; manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support. -
Lead I&D Taskforce by using a collaborative approach that drives team ownership. Ongoing evaluation of the strategy and execution roadmap; evaluate the Taskforce and recommend additional skill sets and development opportunities. -
Builds strong relationships globally, working with the local leadership team to localizing I&D efforts. -
Responsible for partnering with all departments within HR (and beyond) to ensure our processes and systems are inclusive and equitable for all. -
Execute inclusion and diversity programs in partnership with the I&D Taskforce, Talent Acquisition, Global Learning & Development, and Global Engagement & Talent Management teams -
Build increased brand awareness of Ingevity as a place where diversity of all types are welcome, included and valued. Over time, this acknowledgement should extend to the communities we do business in and to business leaders who value I&D. -
Partner with Ingevity Communications team to be ‘employer of choice’. Assist with the creation of social media content around I&D -
Partner with internal and external partners to create and deliver learning experiences to develop leaders who model and drive inclusive behaviors. -
Ensure successful selection, preparation and effectiveness of global inclusion champions -
Influence, update and gather input from employees, inclusion champions, Ingevity Executive Team, and Board of Directors to ensure I&D enables our culture and business success. -
Define the organizational structure needed to support the business strategies in relationship to I&D. -
Manage external vendor relationships and propose and oversee the budget. -
Identify and seek alignment of I&D metrics; ensure Ingevity leaders have exposure to the metrics and align on data-driven implications and initiatives. What you need to succeed: -
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred (human resource management, organizational psychology, change management, or similar concentration) -
7-10 years of experience delivering successful (metric driven) I&D strategy and program execution to companies of similar size with demonstrated increase in responsibility -
Experience supporting a 24/7 manufacturing environment -
Ability to influence without direct authority while functioning as a team player, coach, and leader -
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with employees across various corporate functions to include production (manufacturing), business and commercial teams, supply chain, IT, technical -
Thorough understanding and experience with global business and manufacturing cultures (APAC, EMEA) -
