The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, an independent K-12 boys’ school, seeks an energetic and professional full time upper school mathematics teacher beginning in August 2021. The successful applicant will teach five sections of mathematics, up to and including AP calculus. The role will serve as an academic advisor to a group of upper school students and be actively involved in all facets of school life, including coaching and/or leading co-curricular activities.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and at least three years of experience teaching mathematics. A master’s degree in a related field is desired as well as knowledge of best practices of instructional technologies, pedagogical techniques most beneficial to adolescent boys and an interest in working with students of diverse backgrounds. The ability to teach computer science and coding is preferred.
