Holton-Arms is seeking a creative and dynamic individual for a full-time faculty position in our Physical Education Department for the 2021-22 school year. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic educator who brings an energetic and positive approach to the teaching of physical education. This position reports to the Director of Physical Education and Athletics. Comfort with current educational and communication technology and willingness to innovate, collaborate and challenge are essential. Major duties and responsibilities include:
Teach Physical Education classes in Grades 3-12
Coach one US athletic team after the school day and three MS seasons as part of the school day
Serve as an advisor to a small group of LS, MS or US students
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of physical education curriculum
Possess strong communication skills, a patient and thorough understanding of adolescence and the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and parents
Contribute to the life of the school by getting involved in the everyday life of the community
Take responsibility for being a role model by maintaining an environment that fosters respect among students and colleagues

B.A. degree or equivalent relevant to Physical Education – Master’s degree desirable.
Prior experience working in a school setting and coaching experience is desirable.
