As Sr Director, Talent and Culture Development you are a trusted advisor working closely with the HR Leadership team, company leaders/stakeholders, and the Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (ID&E) Council to formulate and drive the vision, strategy, and programs for Navient’s talent and organizational development function, from idea creation through measurement, to ensure a high performing company.
You are a thought leader and architect of human capital strategies that support business goals by strengthening Navient’s ability to attract, develop and retain top talent, enhancing employee engagement and inclusiveness that considers the complexities of the future of work.
Key areas of accountability include:
Employee Development and Engagement
Establishes and executes a strategy and philosophy for executive/leadership/staff development
Leads efforts to increase retention, employee engagement, and leadership and career readiness/advancement.
Leverages best practices to create, customize and measure Navient’s talent development efforts. Collaborates with HR Business Partners to engage leadership in succession and talent planning.
Applies strategic oversight of the annual performance review program linking results and behaviors to the values of the organization
Designs and delivers inclusive programs that will accelerate the development of high potential talent across the company
Inclusion, Diversity & Equity
Key leader who will cultivate and guide a shared vision of inclusion, diversity and equity throughout company.
Collaborates with HR Leadership, ID&E Council and various company stakeholders to implement strategies in support of a culture of inclusive excellence
Supports talent assessment practices and related policies across the employee life cycle to ensure a culture of success, free from structural bias.
Leadership and Change management
Leads a high performing team in delivering exceptional customer experiences to all business units.
Coaches senior leaders, supporting them on their own growth and development
Provides day-to-day thought leadership, consultation, and communication to business partners at every level of the organization on strategic initiatives to include driving change in the organization
Takes an active role in advancing Navient as an employer of choice.
Successful candidate will have 12+ years of progressive and innovative talent development, talent management and/or organization effectiveness experience and have established themselves as a person of integrity and trust who believes and models ID&E and can present the unvarnished truth in a direct and constructive manner. You are a skilled communicator, astute business professional, and equally adept at taking the lead or collaborating with others in pursuit of a common goal.
The Sr. Director, Talent and Culture Development is an officer level role, reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, within Navient and requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (Master’s degree and/or PHR/SPHR Certification preferred).
