The School of Business at the University of Washington Bothell is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a part-time, non-tenure-track faculty position in ACCOUNTING for a two-year, renewable, academic appointment to begin Autumn of 2021. The successful candidate(s) will teach undergraduate courses in Accounting in one or more of the following areas:
Intro Financial Accounting BBUS 210
Intro Managerial Accounting BBUS 211
Intermediate Financial Accounting (I, II and III) - BBUS 361, 362 and 363
The position requires on-site face-to-face availability for teaching classes. Teaching assignments may include days or evenings. Quality performance will be expected in teaching. General responsibilities include: preparing and delivering a course that meets the course description and learning goals; using appropriate teaching strategies and evaluation methods; informing students of all course requirements and providing feedback on a continuing basis; holding regular office hours; using appropriate technology for the course; and submitting course grades by the deadline. The successful candidate needs to have interest and ability to interact with students and organize activities such as student clubs in accounting and act as an advisor of BAP.
Master's degree in accounting.Business doctorate degree (PhD or DBA) in Accounting preferred.
Required Work Experience:
Effective teaching in college/university level in Accounting for minimum of three years. Prior experience to organize student clubs and familiarity with organizing BAP activities.
Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered:
Certifications in specific areas such as CPA, CMA, CIA. Evidence of AACSB qualifications as a scholarly academic (SA).
