Location: Hyde Park Campus Job Description: - Manages a staff of approximately twelve and the Instituteâ™s annual budget.
- Promotes the IOPâ™s culture of close staff collaboration and warm engagement with students.
- Manages the Institute's budget, finances, operations, communications, marketing (including Website and media relations), facilities, and day-to-day supervision of staff and student workers.
- Organizes and plans Institute programs, including support of participating Fellows and speakers.
- Effectively manages and communicates with the Board of Advisors.
- Oversees fundraising, including proposal development for granting agencies and donor prospects and related outreach activities.
- Develops partnership relationships with related administrative units of the University.
- Provides strategic leadership for a Center with senior management and serves as a liaison to academic departments, professional organizations and administrative units of the University.
- Manages multiple related teams. Establishes department priorities, is responsible for the management of the center budget, allocates resources and executes strategic plans.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications Education: Experience: - Ten years of related experience in managing an organization's internal operations and representing an organization to outside constituents.
Preferred Competencies - Working effectively as part of a senior leadership team characterized by trust, open communication and shared goals.
- Developing, retaining and, where and when necessary recruiting, a high-performing staff in concert with the Institute director.
- Developing effective communication processes and building relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Working closely with young people.
