Lower School Counselor The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, an independent K-12 boys’ school, seeks a Lower School Counselor to begin in August. The Lower School Counselor will provide counseling services for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. In addition, the counselor will be expected to teach classroom lessons around the social and emotional needs of lower school boys. A master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or other directly related field of study is desired, as well as experience in a school counseling and development program. The successful applicant will participate in a team approach to implement, organize, and execute curriculum designed to influence the positive, healthy development of our students. The counselor will facilitate group discussions and provide limited one-on-one clinical interventions related to the acquisition of interpersonal and social skills. The School Counselor serves to support the team of administrators, faculty, and students in meeting the mission of the school.
