Middle School Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Global Education Practitioner

The Middle School Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Global Education (DEIG) Practitioner will report to the DEIG Officer and will be a participating member of the Office for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Global Education. The person in this position will support the DEIG Officer in developing internal structures to ensure that BB&N has a unified approach to building an inclusive, potentially far-reaching community. They will work collaboratively with colleagues of the Office for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Global Education and other stakeholders in the BB&N Community to develop, enhance and implement programs, initiatives, and strategies that support BB&N’s strategic design as it relates to diversity, equity, inclusion, and global education. The person in this role will serve as a connector between campuses by leveraging both campus-specific and school-wide culture, knowledge, relationships, and practices to inform larger DEIG strategy and programs. The Middle School Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Global Education Practitioner will work with various members of the BB&N community (specifically, Community Outreach and Engagement Specialist, Director of Global Education, The Middle School Campus Director, faculty, and staff, and students, family engagement leadership, and families). This position will:
In addition to these responsibilities, the person in this role will serve as an advisor to Middle School students and support the students and school in another capacity consistent with the candidate’s experience. Possibilities include but are not limited to coaching and teaching. This role is designed to have a presence and impact across all of BB&N’s campuses with the most concentrated focus at the campus level. This role is highly collaborative in nature and is dually adult and student-facing. The person in this role will need to build new processes as well as effectively and efficiently leverage current systems and resources.
