Child and Adolescent Psychiatry The Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, a collaboration between UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Health, provides comprehensive interdisciplinary care to children with Autism Spectrum and related neurodevelopmental disorders and their families. The Center maintains a multidisciplinary evaluation and treatment service, including providers from the following disciplines: psychiatry, psychology, neuropsychology, neurodevelopmental neurology, speech pathology, behavior analysis, and social work. The Center is seeking a part time (50%) child and adolescent psychiatrist to provide direct patient care to children and adolescents with autism or other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Additionally, the role would include participation in interdisciplinary diagnostic evaluations of children suspected of having an autism spectrum disorder from 1-18 years of age, with a special focus on early diagnosis (0-3). The candidate’s background should include direct patient care experience with assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with autism or other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Candidate must be able to provide supervision and teaching of child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, general psychiatry residents, medical students and other allied health students. Applicant must have or be able to obtain a Texas medical license and be board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full time schedule.
