The IT Business Office provides human resources, administration, and financial support to ITS staff and management as well as billing customer service to the campus community. It consists of several units - Human Resources & Administration, Finance, IT Procurement, Software Distribution and Inventory Management. Under the direction of the Finance Director, the position is responsible for complex budgeting, financial and analytical functions. Independently responsible for the tracking and allocation of complex funding sources and providing crucial resource, operating and forecasting analyses. Responsible for the annual budgeting process. Responsible for rate recharge analyses, providing expert recommendations to leadership for the short and long range strategic planning of self-supporting activities, and submitting rate recharge proposals to the campus Rate Recharge Review Committee for approval. Independently perform special high-level analytical and forecasting projects. Lead and coordinate the annual storeroom inventory process and provide related analyses and reports. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and organizational policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Contacts are both internal and external to the department.
