Our client is a successful and fast growing private equity platform. Their portfolio consists of companies with a strong potential for growth. They are now looking to hire a Fund Finance & Operations Director to support their team. In this position, you will be working closely with the founding partners. The position is based in Munich, Germany (other locations & part-time work are also possible).
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • As a Finance and Operations Director, you will lead the firm's finance function including reporting, fund administration, investor relations, treasury, compliance, legal, tax and portfolio work
  • Budget preparation and forecasting
  • Monthly reporting and monitoring of KPIs (fund and portfolio companies)
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in close cooperation with the tax advisor
  • Set-up of finance and operations structures and processes including reporting templates as well as automatization of processes in order to improve efficiency
  • Liquidity planning, capital calls and capital distribution
  • Support with fund raising, investor requests and presentations
  • Interface for all financial reporting between the portfolio companies and the fund and support with valuation tasks
  • Ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met
  • Administrative tasks, e.g. review of invoices & payments
  • Involvement in ad-hoc requests and projects
  • Main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors and other external service providers
YOUR PROFILE
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
  • Significant relevant work experience in a finance / controlling position - ideally, you gained that experience working in a finance function of a VC / PE fund or in the audit / transaction advisory department of a Big 4 or consulting firm
  • Strong analytical skills with an affinity for numbers and technology
  • Past experience setting up structures and processes is helpful
  • Pro-active and hands-on approach, accustomed to working independently, entrepreneurial mind-set
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in German and English are required
