The Impact You'll Make in this Role
Today, hospitals and healthcare providers face Health Information System challenges in many areas, meaningful use, payment reform, avoidable cost, population health just to start the list. 3M Health Information Systems division is looking for an ambitious and tenacious sales representative to build new relationships and work with existing clients to deliver systems, services and applications to help providers access, compile, code, report, store, and exchange the health information they need.
As a(n) Health Systems Executive , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Manage some of the largest, most strategic/complex Health Systems/IDN's/Academic Medical Centers/ACO's in the country
Weekly interaction with clients specifically Executives
Complete understanding of all clients' ongoing short and long-term initiatives, success metrics, issues and needs
Provide constant diagnostic service to clients including on site workflow, system and operational analysis
Educate clients specifically Executives on market trends, clinical and economical regulations and reform
Match your deep knowledge of clients to a short and long-term solution roadmap with expected value and results creating a trusted high performance partner/advisor relationship
Achieves sales objectives by providing independent sales coverage of assigned accounts or within assigned territory
Position intended for individuals experienced in software and consulting sales and who have demonstrated effective use of selling skills and have consistently achieved or exceeded forecast over a sustained period of time
Selling and delivering complex high dollar ($1.5M+) technology/consulting solutions across multiple departments
Successfully be able to position value / benefits with "C level" decision makers
Initiate and develop successful selling strategies
Plans and manages time and resources for effective coverage of territory, communications, and other responsibilities. Observes all budget guidelines
Fully negotiate contracts and close profitable business within the region that protect all expected 3M HIS business unit margins
Being able to meet and exceed sales quotas
This position will require 50% domestic travel of 50%
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience in sales in lieu of the bachelor's degree education requirement
Five (5) combined years Health Information Technology customer service and/or Health Information Technology sales experience
Ability to travel 50%

Must live somewhere in the territory
Location: Eastern U.S.
Sales Territory: Strategic accounts located in CT, NY, PA and FL
Travel: May include up to 50% domestic
Relocation: Is not authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
