The UBS Chief Investment Office Wealth Management (CIO WM) is the central investment strategy and research unit of UBS Wealth Management. The CIO defines the strategic and tactical asset allocation implemented in UBS mandates and reference portfolios and publishes a wide range of research publications for UBS clients and client advisors on a global level.

The China Cross Asset Strategist will be in the CIO China Asset Allocation team. The team is responsible for asset allocation in onshore China and contributes to the global tactical asset allocation investment process. The outcome of this investment process is implemented in advisory/discretionary mandates and the UBS Strategy Funds.

Your expertise
  • Ph.D./Master in economics, finance, engineering or a related fields
  • Strong quantitative skills with modelling capabilities (statistics/econometrics; optimization)
  • 4-8 years of experience in analyzing China or Asian equities (sectors, styles, A/H), ideally with some asset management experience.
  • Spoken fluency in English & Mandarin
  • Proficient in WIND, Bloomberg, and Excel. Python or Matlab is an advantage
  • Excellent team player capabilities; the candidate will also work with the broader CIO team and stakeholders outside Asia
