Description Executive Director, Complex Execution (VHPS) Job Summary: Vanderbilt Health Professional Solutions, a VUMC subsidiary coordinating the development and management of emerging business enterprises, is currently seeking an Executive Director, Complex Execution. This is a highly visible role focused on building businesses and relentless execution. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Health Professional Solutions. - Successfully leading and managing multiple and/or complex projects in one or more of our HPS businesses or VUMC strategic initiatives
- Ensuring meaningful value is delivered through a strong mix of best-practice project planning, business management consulting, business planning and relentless execution of key business initiatives
- Ability to work with VHPS leadership and businesses to develop strategies, plan and execute key project and business initiatives
- Managing teams of VHPS and business team members to accomplish key business objectives
- Ability to develop near-term, mid-term, and long-term business strategies and plans, ability to do market sizing and analysis and full-cycle business launch activities
- Developing trusted, long-term relationships with VHPS team members, VUMC, VHPS businesses and customers
- Facilitating cross-business and cross-team sharing to collaborate and identify new opportunities
- Teaching others how to develop valuable strategic and project management, business development skills, tools, templates, and frameworks
- Inspiring and motivating team members by embodying the VUMC's credo
Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
- Master's degree and/or professional certifications
Qualifications: - 10+ years of management consulting, advisory, professional services and/or Big 4 consulting experience
- Proven success delivering multiple large scale system, process, and business projects
- Proven success in working with consulting clients and building strong relationships to become a trusted advisor to clients
- Ability to develop complex corporate and business unit level strategies, go-to-market strategies, operational strategies and facilitate design sessions and strategic planning
- Running projects and managing teams; and delivery experience driving business requirements, identifying gaps and omissions, and designing solutions while identifying and mitigating project and solution risks
- Demonstrated track record of managing large and complex consulting engagements, including a role in managing and interfacing with senior level client executives
- Ability to establish immediate credibility with team members and business leader and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence
- Excellent interpersonal/communication and team building skills
- Creative thinking and ability to seek innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems
- Superior presentation skills and ability to deliver executive level presentations and communications
Technical Skills - Demonstrated expertise in MS Office Suite of products, (i.e. Visio, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Project Management training and/or project lead experience of 5+ years
- Business management consulting experience 8+ years
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of project planning tools (MS Project, Jira, Version One)
- Familiarity with Clarity, Ehour, or other Portfolio / Program Management Software
