Job Summary The Undergraduate Program at Kelley School of Business is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Life to join a team dedicated to student development and to providing enriching educational experiences beyond the classroom for more than 8,000 high-achieving undergraduate business students. The candidate must be committed to providing equitable and safe space for staff to work and students to thrive. Provide leadership for a comprehensive student life program, including: designing, implementing, and assessing programs and events related to student engagement, first year experience, and student wellness; creatively promoting such events to internal and external audiences; establishing goals; developing program curriculum; assessing learning outcomes; formulating policy; advising, coaching, and mentoring student organization leaders and student volunteers; and supervising graduate assistants. The position will report to the Director of Student Life. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience working with student groups and students from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of the foundational principles of the Student Affairs profession. Working knowledge of Student Development Theory; ability to apply the theory to practice. Ability to relate well with college students, and to create environments that promote and embrace diversity. Ability to innovate. Ability to write meaningful educational outcomes. Basic knowledge of outcomes assessment practices. Ability to establish and nurture collaborative relationships with student organizations and units across campus. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Student Personnel Administration, or a related field. Experience with IU computer systems, including SIS, Campus Labs(r) Engage/beINvolved, and CRM software.
