We Offer
The Compliance Academy ("CA") is a two-year work experience program, combining extensive formal classroom instruction with on-the-job training in compliance

The program seeks to provide fresh and recent graduates with the opportunity to develop professional skills and industry knowledge by working closely with compliance professionals. In addition to classroom training on core compliance topics, participants rotate through job placements under close supervision covering a variety of Compliance functional areas (e.g., Financial Crime Compliance and Core Compliance Services, etc.)

Program Outline

Participants can look forward to gaining insight into the compliance function, learning about the bank's products and services, and acquiring a broad understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory environment.

  • Understanding the Financial Services Industry & Credit Suisse.
  • Introduction to Credit Suisse and its divisions
  • Introduction to financial products and markets
  • Understand policies, rules and regulations
  • Learn and develop technical and personal effectiveness skills critical to the success of compliance officers

  • Understanding the Compliance Division

  • Understand the mandate of numerous compliance functions and how they interact with each other and with other divisions in the bank
  • Understand our relationship with the regulators

  • On-the-job-Training

  • Gain hands-on work experience in various compliance functions as part of the rotation assignment

  • Certification & Assessment

Participants will be sponsored for the following industry examinations and professional certification

  • Capital Markets & Financial Advisory Services (CMFAS) Examinations
  • Client Advisor Competency Standards (CACS) Paper 1
  • ICA Advanced Certificate in Governance, Risk & Compliance which will lead to IBF Level 1 certification

Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will receive

  • An internal work experience certification from Credit Suisse's Compliance Academy
  • ICA Advanced Certificate in Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • IBF Level 1 Certification

While the completion of the program is not directly linked to job placements at Credit Suisse, it will provide outstanding on-the-job experience, offering participants a significant career advantage in the compliance profession.
