Parker School is a vibrant learning community of 316 K-12 students who are nurtured by engaged educators and families in the community of Waimea, on magnificent Hawai?i Island. The Opportunity 

The K-12 Learning Specialist will be responsible for the overall learning support efforts undertaken by the school.

Primary Responsibilities

• Designs and leads regular professional development programs for faculty to support differentiated classroom and advisory responsibilities
• Develops and leads parent education workshops
• Meets with advisors, coaches, and teachers to support teaching and classroom practices for a range of learner needs
• Works one-on-one with students to support individual needs
• Reviews educational evaluations and recommends appropriate action plans
• Creates and tracks student accommodation and intervention plans
• Coordinates accommodations for standardized testing (PSAT, pre-ACT, ERBs, etc.)
• Leads meetings to address student academic challenges
• Meets with school leadership to discuss and align program goals and practices
