Pre-K-12 Director of Wellness

Reports to: Head of School

Position Summary:

The Director of Wellness is a member of the senior leadership team including the Academic Leadership Team, the Academic Programming Committee, the Committee on Equity and Justice, the Residential Life Leadership Team, the Safety Committee, and the Crisis Management Team. The Director works within and across the divisions to implement, support, and oversee curricular and co-curricular health and wellness initiatives and programming.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement strategic initiatives to promote health and wellness within the Saint Andrew's School community
• Continue the development of a comprehensive, campus-wide wellness program
• Collaborate with school leaders and faculty on issues of school culture and climate
• Supervise Wellness Team members including divisional counselors and nurses
• Collaborate with the administrations of each division, school counseling offices, athletics department, physical education department, nursing department, office of admissions, school chaplains, learning specialists, dining services, and school-wide faculty to create and maintain a balanced approach to programming and student engagement
• Work with the Residential Life Team to develop and implement training and programming for students and staff
• Plan and implement professional learning experiences for faculty and staff
• Provide parent education experiences focusing on adolescent development, wellness, and parenting related topics
• Provide regular individual and group consultation with students on wellness related topics and lead/work with wellness related student clubs
