Adheres to ICH- GCP, DHHS (OHRP and FDA), and Inova Health System guidelines when implementing research trials to ensure highest quality research and Human Subject protection from site selection to study closure. Administrative/Data Management: Performs administrative functions, data collection/management in order to support the accomplishment of the research department function and research project goals. Teamwork: Communicates effectively and works in collaboration with the research team in order to meet research study and department objectives. Respects and demonstrates understanding of other clinical disciplines and departments functions. Professional Development: Makes a continuous effort to foster self-development, enhance work related skills, and improve job performance and expertise.
Coordinates or performs a wide variety of data management and/or administrative activities to support research department functions and research project goals.
Responsible for coordination, processing and quality control of clinical trial data.
Validate clinical trial data to ensure consistency, integrity and accuracy based on project guidelines.
Correctly and efficiently abstracts information for source records and with attention to timeline requirements, enters accurate and complete data into the appropriate case report forms.
Communicates and collaborates with team members to ensure timely data submission.
Resolves queries and communicates questions about data to appropriate staff.
Identifies and resolves any documentation discrepancies.
Prepares for and participates in monitoring and auditing activities by assuring all case report forms and queries are complete and that source documents are available.
Attend disease specific team meetings, monitoring visits, audits, and site initiation visits.
Participates in continuing educational activities, such as Inova sponsored conferences, webinars, sponsor initiated trainings, and conference calls, to enhance research and/or project support skills.
