Associate Director - Student Rights and Responsibilities

Job Description: Responsible for the overall day-to-day administrative operation of the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, which processes approximately 3,600 student conduct cases each academic year. Supervises, trains, and supports two full-time Student Conduct Advisors, one Conduct Coordinator, and trains and advises conduct boards. Advise Conduct Board hearings with sanction ability up to expulsion. Evening and weekend hours as needed. Serves as an informal resolution case manager to students who are accused of violations of the Code of Student Conduct involving, but not limited to: extreme intoxication, physical/sexual assault, illegal drugs, vandalism, disorderly conduct, or theft. Serves as the University Student Conduct System liaison to campus departments and offices. Develops, assesses, and revises inter-departmental processes, educational sanctions, protocols for adjudicating conduct cases and collecting administrative data. Supervises data management program. Acts in the absence of the Director. Respond to inquiries from partner offices and other third parties including parents. Refer students to appropriate campus support resources. On call 50% of the year. Overseas Title IX hearing process, scheduling, logistics communications to students, working with attorneys, outcome letters, etc.
