DESCRIPTIONApplies professional concepts, department/unit and campus/medical center/OP policies and procedures to resolve a variety of complex issues in one or more IT areas of specialization. Analyzes complex issues. Within defined procedures and practices, determines appropriate action. Serve as the functional leader for SCCOOS, a multiple function, networked, end-to-end computing facility including system administration, software development, development of quality control statistical, graphics and heuristic methodology, archive and data dissemination. Design and develop software applications, algorithms and analysis techniques to support the goals of SCCOOS which include the acquiring, archiving, processing and disseminating of environmental data (numerous parameter types for SCCOOS). Represent SCCOOS at national data management meetings, participating as an engaging and active member. QUALIFICATIONS
