Instructional Support Teacher

Brewster Academy, a 9-12 co-educational, independent boarding school located in Wolfeboro New Hampshire, seeks a dynamic teacher for our Instructional Support department. The IS teacher’s role is one of a learning specialist. Through both informal and formal assessments, the IS teacher gains the knowledge necessary in determining each student’s needs. They work closely with the student in teaching and supporting them in areas where they are demonstrating “primary” skill level

Qualified candidates will show evidence of exceptional teaching, strong interpersonal skills, and a keen understanding of the developmental needs of high school boarding students. As a member of the Brewster faculty, candidates can expect to coach, lead equivalent afternoon responsibilities, live in a dorm or serve as a dorm affiliate, and serve as an advisor in addition to teaching duties.  Brewster Academy faculty are committed to creating an inclusive community and contribution to this community goal is of the utmost importance.
