About the Department The University Student Union (USU) at California State University, Northridge is a student centered non-profit organization that works to expand the college experience through various programs, services, employment, and involvement opportunities. The mission of the USU is to foster the achievement of students' educational goals by facilitating a strong connection between students and their campus community. It is an engaging and energetic campus program that develops students through inclusive activities, meaningful employment opportunities, leadership experiences and innovative technologies, facilities, and services. Facilities include a University Student Union and a 138,000 square foot Student Recreation Center (SRC). The SRC is a facility for exercise and leisure activity that promotes lifelong health and wellness. Major Duties Under the guidance of the Manager, Intramural Sports and Recreation Programs, the Intramural Sports and Day Camp Coordinator, is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of Intramural Sports, Games Room, and Sunny Days Camp. The position supervises student assistant employees for Intramural Sports and Sunny Days Camp. Intramural Sports

Qualifications Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Equivalent to two years of professional/paraprofessional experience in higher education with emphasis in student unions, student activities, residence life or student development or two years professional experience in a job-related field. Experience supervising the work of others, preferred. American Red Cross or department approved First Aid, CPR, and AED certification shall be obtained within 30 days of hire. Training is periodically offered free of charge by the USU. Applicants unable to attend USU-sponsored trainings are required to obtain certification at their own expense. Working Conditions: Work is generally performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. Work is occasionally performed in outdoor performance spaces or at off-site entertainment venues. Regular public contact required. Some evening and weekend work required. Must be able to lift 25 pounds of programming/training materials unassisted. Ability to handle multiple tasks, adhere to deadlines and work under pressure required. Physical Abilities:
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule This position is employed through University Student Union (USU). USU offers an excellent benefits package. The anticipated hiring range will be as follows: Hourly: 24.83 - 25.48 Bi-Weekly: 1,986.46 - 2,038.46 Annually: 51,648 - 53,000 HOURS: Full-Time 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
