Phoenix Country Day School is currently seeking a dynamic and collaborative educator to teach Middle School math for the 2021-22 school year.
The ideal candidate will fulfill the following qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Math or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred
Exude a passion for teaching 7th and 8th algebra and geometry
Ability to create a student-centered math curriculum and use technology effectively to enhance student learning
Expertise differentiating instruction to meet a wide variety of math capabilities
Use skill-based grading to measure and report student learning
Actively promote and embrace the school's mission statement for diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice within the classroom as well as throughout the middle school as a whole
Exhibit flexibility, optimism, and creativity
Understand the developmental needs of middle school students as a teacher and as an advisor
Enjoy working with an innovative grade-level team to foster the emotional well being and academic success of students
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
