Equity & Inclusion Student Programs Coordinator

The equity and inclusion student programs coordinator assists with the development and delivery of diversity, equity, and inclusion programming for students. Reporting to the Assistant Head of School for Instruction and Equity, the coordinator supports an overall vision for social justice clubs, affinity groups, and other student social justice programs. This is a full-time 10-month position.  

Primary responsibilities include the following: 

• Work collaboratively with the Assistant Head of School for Instruction and Equity to design, develop, evaluate and implement a program for students grounded in anti-racism to advance the school’s diversity, equity, and inclusion goals
• Plan and facilitate ongoing student programming including social justice clubs, affinity groups, all-school assemblies, and events
• Train and support student leadership and facilitation skills
• Coordinate and plan local, regional, and national trips to diversity and inclusion conferences  
• Evaluate and disseminate diversity, equity, and inclusion professional development opportunities to faculty and staff 
• Support the development and implementation of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism curriculum
• Work collaboratively with the Associate Head of School and Assistant Head of School for Instruction and Equity to support departments in setting annual curriculum goals. Meet regularly with academic department chairs to discuss progress and needs for support. Report feedback to Associate Head of School and Assistant Head of School for Instruction and Equity
• Teach one section of an academic subject and serve as an advisor 
• Teach one section of community education 
• Coach or lead two seasons of a sport or co-curricular activity
