![]() Assistant Dean of Philanthropy - School of Veterinary Medicine Job Summary DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Manages a large and complex fundraising program within context of overall fundraising efforts at UC Davis, with complex constituencies and programs, typically through a large professional staff, including both fundraising and non-fundraising professionals when applicable (e.g., editors, public relations) as well as related administrative support staff. Reviews and approves recommendations for operational planning and control. Decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of department, division, or campus. JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Dean, with joint reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor - School and Unit Programs, involves designing, developing, delivering and administering a major, complex fundraising program. Identifies new donor prospects through researching background information on potential donors and developing materials, marketing plans, and organizing related programs/event; cultivates, stewards, and solicits donors.
